“share your christmas” canned food drive
thank you, to everyone that is participating in the canned food drive. the deadline to donate is thursday, december 10. students that donate 5 cans or more will receive a civilian day on wednesday, december 16.

k3 & k4 will dismiss following their Christmas parties.
k5 dismisses at 11:15
1st - 5th dismiss at 11:30
students staying for after school care must bring a noncarbonated drink and lunch.
bbs dress code reminder
jackets: • any jacket is allowed for outside wear. • only plain navy, gray, chambray (light) blue, royal blue or black jackets may be worn in class. • no non-bbs logos larger than a credit card.
please remember to label all jackets, coats, sweaters and sweatshirts. labeled items will be returned to their owner.

4th grade overview
house competition - friday, december 11th - this is a different date than was sent home previously. students should wear their house shirts on this day. don’t forget to send your assigned “decorations” by next thursday.
bible: our next memory test is on monday, december 14. “for unto us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be upon his shoulders. and he will be called wonderful counselor, mighty god, everlasting father, prince of peace.” isaiah 9:6
reading: we finished up our unit on character. we will be doing an in class project and tests this week. the skill and vocabulary test will be on tuesday, december 8. the performance test will be on wednesday, december 9.
spelling: there will be a spelling test over list 7 on december 10. they need to complete their spelling choice board by december 10.
math: math tests will be in the tuesday folder. we started our chapter on patterns and order of operations this week.
grammar: students will finish our verb study this week and begin review for the test. our verb test will be on tuesday, december 15. some students may be bringing home the latest writing assignment to make revisions to their final draft.
science: we will focus on “hurricanes and tornadoes.” brian smith, meteorologist from channel 9, will be speaking to 4th grade on monday, december 7.
